Upcoming Mission Trip with Meckles and Rybolts

We are so excited to be heading "home" for the last week in May. We are going to Honduras with Ben & Kathryn Rybolt and Wil & Jane Meckle. My brother Ben and his wife have a passion for the poor and live very intentional lives. Wil and Jane have known Marvin for a long time. Marvin lived with them for 2 months and happily calls them Mama Jane and Papa Wil. They have been to Honduras many times and have been blessed with incredible wisdom and kindness.

The video below outlines our travel plans. Our mission is to make new relationships and strengthen existing relations while meeting physical needs and offering spiritual healing which comes only through a relationship with Christ.

Praise for the Burgess family

There are many people that have offered us support in unique and sacrificial ways. I want to recognize the Burgess family and thank them for all that they have done for us. Brian and Elizabeth Burgess led a Bible study for me my Senior year in high school. They were an amazing example of what a loving, committed relationship should look like. In 2008 around the time I graduated from high school, Brian wrote me a letter telling me how he and Elizabeth were going to start praying for my future spouse. Little did we know that I would meet Marvin within a month.

After Marvin and I got married, our friendship with the Burgess family grew. When they heard of our plans to move to Honduras, they invited us to live with them rent free! They finished their basement so that we could have a space to ourselves, and we moved in on September 24, 2011. Living with them is a blessing, not because of the price, but because we are in a home filled with LOVE. Elizabeth cooks so often for us, and we enjoy all our family dinners together. We have also had the privilege of knowing and loving both of their sons. We appreciate the Burgess family and their willingness to open their home to us and open their hearts to a radical lifestyle of service and sacrifice.

THANK YOU!!!
